CONCLUSION

As we close this volume of Spiritual Foundations, let us bring to mind that its primary purpose was for us to discover that the Old Testament feasts, sacrifices and Temple were foreshadowings pointing to the time of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. These foreshadowings revealed to us Jesus' true nature, many of His attributes, His ministry and the salvation He brought to both Jew and Gentile alike. They also revealed to us the true nature and composition of the New Testament Temple, which is the church that Jesus came to build.

As I thought, considered and prayed of how to conclude this volume, I was reminded of a passage of Scripture that Paul gave to the Corinthian church. In this passage Paul reminds the church that he, as an expert builder, gave them the perfect foundation for their faith. Specifically, the foundation he laid for them was Jesus Christ and Him crucified. In this same passage of Scripture Paul also cautions the church to be sure to build upon this foundation with doctrines, teachings and beliefs that will be of eternal value to them (1 Corinthians 3:10-17)..

Now I do not pretend to be close to having any of the spiritual qualifications of Paul. Nor do I suggest that this book can even come close to providing you the spiritual food that God Himself has already given you, that is His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Bible. With this in mind, I could think of no better way to conclude this book than to leave you with a passage of Scripture Paul gave to the membership of the church in Thessalonica. It is recorded in,

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

[23] Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. [24] He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

Amen
